China is a large and varied country; it has a rich history and this is echo’d in the massive cultural heritage it has inherited.  Over 100 million tourists per year visit China, and this number is set to grow and grow as China continues to take its place at the top of modern society. Whether it be the student on their gap year, the business man travelling to visit factories and clients or families going on vacation in one of China’s many resorts, China has something to offer everyone. However there are many pitfalls for the unwary traveller, Chinese society has many different aspects to Western society and having been to China ourselves we hope you can use this guide to help you understand China a bit better whilst providing some useful resources for your trip and not making the same mistakes we did.
