Founded in 1962, TGHFF is modelled after the Academy Awards (aka Oscar) and other major film festivals worldwide. Winners are awarded with a Golden Horse statuette during the awards ceremony, which is held after a month-long festival showcasing some of the nominated feature films.

This year, the 47th Taipei Golden Horse Film Festival 第47届台湾电影金马奖 has witnessed the success of some of the Taiwanese films, including “Monga” (Meng Xia) 艋舺, “Fourth Portrait” (aka The Fourth Painting) 第四張畫 and “When Love Comes” 当爱来的时候.

The Best Film award went to “When Love Comes” and the director of “Fourth Portrait” Mong-Hong Chung 钟孟宏 won the Best Director award. Ethan Ruan 阮经天 and Lu Li Ping 吕丽萍 have received the Best Actor and Best Actress awards, with their winning films “Monga” and “Wan Ku Qing Chun” (aka City Monkey) 玩酷青春.

  1. That cage hat is truly awesome

  2. I like the current layout of the site.
    Very similar to ChinaSmack :-)
I want something similar for my new blog.
Is it the feature of Swift Themes?

  3. Swift Themes just implemented the layout recently, but its not like it was invented by Chinasmack, loads of sites use the magazine thumbnail style layout, I like it because we have a very image focused blog. But I’m going to edit it some more in the next few weeks so it looks a bit better, not 100% happy with it yet.

  4. By the way, I don’t know if it is related to browser or my location – but the ads are not displayed (only placeholders with little red crosses).

    • All the adverts? Or just the J-List ones? Do you use a proxy? Your IP shows as being from Israel, I guess they could have banned J-list. All the ads show for me and other people I’ve asked, but thanks very much for mentioning it! I’ll try and look into it further :)
